Employee Self Referral
As an NHS employee there are two ways that you can access OHSxtra
1 Your line manager
You can talk to your line manager and ask them to contact the occupational health department for you. Your manager should give you a copy of their referral.
2 Self referral
You can contact your occupational health department yourself. Self-referral is confidential; therefore your line manager would not be contacted without your knowledge and consent. However, there may be benefit in your line manager knowing what work-based (non-clinical) assistance you need, so they can support you appropriately.
